Oakland-based general litigation law firm seeking an associate with 2+ years of experience.

Wong & Associates is a boutique law firm providing legal representation to SF Bay Area communities (primarily to the Chinese-American community) for over 40 years in a wide range of practice areas from personal injury, civil disputes, family law, landlord-tenant, estate planning, criminal defense to real estate and commercial litigation.

Our ideal candidate would have excellent research and writing skills, effective oral advocacy skills, and an aptitude for litigation. A major plus is substantial trial practice and motion practice experience. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese or both) is preferred. Candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States and licensed to practice in California.

Qualifications

· From ABA-approved law schools

· Licensed to practice law in California

· Excellent research and writing skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Aptitude for litigation

· Trial practice and motion practice experience is a plus

· Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus
